Was great to get an email from Muncie Burris Soccer Coach Kameron McBride today.
I thought is was worthy of sharing….
I would like to congratulate your soccer program on the effort and intensity they showed while playing against us on Saturday, September 27th. The game was our “Senior Night” (or Senior Morning, as it were) and playing on that day is never easy. Speaking from experience, when a team is undermanned to begin with and has to play with ten guys and, then has to play on an emotionally “up” day for the other team, it is never easy. That being said, the ten guys on the field for Blackford showed a lot of effort and good sportsmanship in the loss.
In particular, Brodie Barnes, one of the team captains and #7 if I remember correctly, showed a lot of effort and continued to fight hard for every ball until the final minutes. Good luck with the rest of your season and all your athletics, we look forward to continuing to compete with you in the future.
Great to see the boys recognized for their efforts despite having just one win. The program has much to look forward to in the upcoming years as the young Bruins gain valuable experience.
BELIEVE IN THE BRUINS!
