The varsity boys basketball team fell to Monroe Central last night 55-44. The Bruins played their best ball of the year and went to the half tied at 20. A rough stretch late in the 3rd lead to an 11 point deficit heading to the 4th that the Bruins couldn’t overcome.
Junior Joel Sharp scored 19 points to lead all scorers. Austin Felver had his most productive night of the year in scoring 12 points on 4 three pointers. Jacob Tobey added 9.
Coach Burkhart stated, “Our kids are continuing to show growth and improvement. We will keep working each day to become a stronger team.”
The JV lost their game 64-15.
Both teams are back in action on Saturday as the Bruins host Blue River Valley on what should be a great night as the first-ever Inductees into the BHS Hall of Fame will be recognized immediately after the JV game. The JV game tips off at 6pm. The recognition should take place around 7:10pm. Be there by 7pm to make sure you get a chance to see the 19 individuals and one team being recognized.
