The girls cross country team placed 5th out of 22 schools at the New Haven Invitational today. It was held at IPFW. Falynne Reed placed 19th with a PR of 21:17 and received a plaque for placing in the top 25.
Bailey Cline placed 34th with a 22:05, Ashley Thurman 52nd place with a PR of 22:41, Bry Futrell closely followed with a PR of 22:43 and 54th place, Jamie Twibell 23:06 and 61st place, and Jordan Charnley rounded out our girls in 25:37 for 120th place.
The boys cross country team placed 10th out of 20 schools. Andrew Thurman placed 21st with a PR of 17:52, leading the boys. He received a plaque for his top 25 effort.
He was closely followed by Brady Swartz in 18:20 for 31st place. Justin Call ran 19:09 for 58th. Ethan Henderson ran a PR of 19:49 for 74th place. Evan DuBois rounded out the top 5 for the boys with a time of 23:00 for 134th place.
Also competing for the boys were Logun Dienberg (24:26) and Myles Cline (28:56).
The JH cross country team got to run a 4K course today. Natalie Thurman ran an 18:08. Others included Ruby Slentz 21:32; Michael Waters 18:21; Thomas Parsons 21:02; Noah Kitterman 21:18; Ken Knag 26:22
The Bruins host the CIC Meet next Saturday at 10am.
