The tennis teams faced Southwood on Tuesday night and came up on the short end. Nancy Cole and Brianna Phillips picked up a hard fought win at 2 doubles to up their record to 2-2 on the season. It wasn’t enough though as Southwood defeated the Bruins 4-1. Tori Baker and Sarah Gregory fought hard in a losing effort at the 1 and 2 singles spots. Dakota Mohler couldn’t quite get things going in her loss at 3 singles.
The 1 doubles pair of Shelby Sullivan and Jessica Millikan lost one of the closest matches you could possibly play 7-5, 7-6.
In JV matches, winners were Audrey Foster, Courtney Eppard and Autumn Miller in singles and Sieria McPherson/Bryce Parsons and Anya Aulbach/Sophie Winger in doubles. Brittaney Dillon/Gretchen Messersmith fought hard in their doubles match, coming back from behind 6-1 to tie it up 6-6 before losing the last 2 games.
