Last night’s tennis match was relocated, due to the weather, to the BHS tennis courts, but it didn’t help as the Bruins suffered another setback, losing 4-1. Dakota Mohler kept the Tigers from making it a clean sweep by winning her 3 singles match 6-0, 6-4. Tori Baker at 1 singles and the 2 double team of Nancy Cole and Brianna Phillips put up a good fight before losing their matches. The 1 doubles team of Shelby Sullivan and Jessica Millikan as well as 2 singles player Sara Gregory all struggled with inconsistency tonight. Coach Smith stated, “They all had some fantastic points tonight, but couldn’t keep things going for any period of time. We’ll keep working hard and try to get better.”
In JV matches, the doubles team of Brittaney Dillon and Gretchen Messersmith picked up the only games of the night in their match. Smith added, “They both continue to improve each match. Hopefully soon their hard work will translate into more wins.”
