The varsity golf team continued their winning ways in defeating Alexandria 169-224 at Meadowbrook Golf Club in Anderson. The weather conditions were par for the course for the Bruins season, playing in cold, wet and windy conditions. The Bruins improved to 7-3 with the win.
Leading the way for the Bruins was Quinn Cunningham finishing with a 40. Evan Jones, Nathan Brown, Zach Willmann, and Ethan Huffman all finished with a 43. The Bruins scores remain consistent for the team unfortunately each individual continues to have one bad hole that gets them. Come out and support the boys as their quest to keep their winning streak intact will be challenged tomorrow night when they face a very strong team from New Castle. The match starts at 4:30pm at Club Run.
The JV team played without opponents due to Alexandria only having 5 varsity players. The round for the JV had some excitement as Spencer Blakely came within inches of a hole in one on the par three hole 5 from 140 yards. Blakely tapped in for an easy birdie and finished with a 50. Leading the way for the JV was Quin Blakely who shot the low score overall for the night with a 39. Quin also managed a birdie on hole 5 to match Spencer. Rounding out the scoring for the JV were Austin Collett (50), Quenton Thurman (61), and Jake Strait (69).
