Multiple Teams · CC Opens at MC

Blackford’s middle school and high school cross country teams competed at the Monroe Central Invitational on Saturday. Despite a muddy course, Bruin runners started off on the right foot.

“I was especially pleased with the middle school runners today running in their first race. They showed a lot of heart out there and are the future of our program. We did not have complete teams for either middle school or high school due to late physicals and sickness. Our high school girls team would have likely placed in the top 6 out of 18 teams if we had our full team today, so the future is bright. The high school boys are still young and getting used to racing the 5K. We will continue to put in the necessary work in order to have consistent improvement,” shared Coach Garret Gleckler.
