Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · Boy’s Soccer Gets 1st Win Since ’14

The boy’s soccer team played well in a 4-0 at Sheridan this morning. Quenton Thurman, Colton McNeal, Spencer Blakely, and Keaton Elkins each has a goal. Elkins led the team with 7 shots on goal. Peyton Smith and Blakely each had assists. Charlie Cranston earned his first shut out of his career in goal.

Coach Batman shared, “The guys came ready to play today. We were missing a few starters which I felt motivated the team to step up. Our Bruins put all the pieces together and controlled the game offensively and defensively. We had 27 shots and 4 goals with 2 assists. We limited Sheridan to one shot on goal, 3 shots total, along with a failed penalty kick.

“I am very proud of the team soccer I saw today. Every one was on the same page and strived to play for one another. Our first win in two years came at a great time. We play some good teams this week in Eastbrook and Yorktown. I can’t wait to see what this team will do this week.”

The Bruins are now 1-2 and host Eastbrook at 7pm on Tuesday after the girl’s game with Eastbrook at 5pm.
