Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · Soccer Ties South Adams 1-1

The boys soccer team tied South Adams this evening 1-1.Colton McNeal scored the lone goal assisted by Spencer Blakely. Josh Jennings recorded 7 saves after replacing Charlie Cranston in the 1st half due to a back injury.

Coach Batman stated, “South Adams had some good players on their team. One of them caused our guys to have some poor challenges and he scored a great goal.

“That one goal was really the only good look we gave South Adams all night. The defense stepped up big time once Charlie went out with 11 min left in the first half. Josh Jennings replaced Charlie and had a good game for us in his first time playing goalie in high school. Peyton Smith played the best I have seen him play all year. He really helped shut down South Adams attack and possession while creating opportunities for us to score.

“Tonight, I feel like this team found the right way to play. We didnt find the way to win, but we found how to play a much more competitive style of soccer. Im glad we are coming together a week before sectionals. I have a good feeling about this last week of the season.”

The Bruins (1-9-2) travel to Norwell on Thursday for a 5pm match.
