The Bruin swim team went to Bluffton and both teams were defeated by the host Tigers. The girls lost 125-58 to fall to 0-5. Winners for the girls were Audrey Foster in the 50M Freestyle and Natalie Blakely in the 100M Butterfly.
The boys lost 141-40 to fall to 0-3. Riley Apple won the 50M Freestyle.
Coach Christine Geise shared, “Coach (Jon) Geise and I are pleased with many of our athletes for stepping up to the plate and competing in events that they do not really want to compete in! We are trying our best to help the team achieve the team’s first win in years! Lots of our swimmers are finishing great but some of our times still need to get better and technique needs to improve. Though, we are on the right track to getting better and faster. We just have to be getting these placements or better in most if not all of the 12 events.”
