The varsity boys basketball team fell 66-33 to Mississinewa in game 3 this evening. The Bruins hung around early trailing 10-7 before the Indians took advantage of several turnovers to pull away. The Bruins had a very balanced scoring attack. Andrew Beckley, Austin Elkins, and Quinten Howard lead the Bruins with 5 points apiece. Elkins added 4 blocked shots. Tyler Cagle pulled down 8 rebounds.
“Mississinewa is a really solid team and they present a lot of match-up issues for us. They have several guards who really pressure the ball well, which disrupted our offense and led to too many turnovers,” shared Coach Scott Clamme, “But there were a lot of positives in the game. Austin Elkins was able to come off the bench and score 5 points along with several blocks. Tyler Cagle continues to rebound well with 8 boards. Mark White also attacked the boards well and had several rebounds.”
The Bruins head to Winchester tomorrow night. The JV game tips off at 6pm.
