Frankton’s athleticism and pressure was too much for the young Bruins as the Eagles jumped to a 45-7 halftime lead. They went on to win 85-33. The Eagles were also hot from the floor hitting over 70% of their shots. Ethan Huffman led the Bruins in scoring with 10 points. Jake Ross hit two 3-pointers in the second half for 6.
“Frankton is a really good team. Their players are very skilled and work together really well which is why they have had so much success in the past several years,” shared Coach Scott Clamme, “But we can’t make excuses. We made mistakes we shouldn’t have made. We missed shots we should have hit. Luckily, we get a chance to come out tomorrow morning and play again. Hopefully, we will be more focused.”
The JV had little success as well as they fell to the Eagles, 63-25. Dalton Willman led the Bruins with 9 points. Brandon Stroble and Rydge Dunica each scored 5.
The Bruins try to bounce back today against North Miami who lost to Wabash last night 70-30. The JV game tips off at noon.
