The Lady Bruins trailed by five runs in the fifth inning, but fought back to tie the score in the seventh. The Lady Bruins scored five runs in the failed comeback on a home run by Lierra Hillman in the sixth, and doubles by Haylie Williamson and Makayla Harrold and a single by Alex Whittig in the seventh.

The Lady Bruins out hit Shanandoah 16-11, but committed 8 errors to negate the offensive outburst. Jaci Rogers, Lierra Hillman, and Makayla  Harrold each had 3 hits. Haylie Williamson, and Alex Whittig each collected 2 hits. Alena Lee, Emma Jacobs, and Lauriah Lytle all had one hit.

After the game, coach Dick Lyon said “This is one that we should have won. We scored 13 runs on 16 hits, but we made way too many errors. When you hit the ball like we did tonight, you should win the game”.

The Lady Bruins travel to Madison-Grant on Thursday for their first CIC contest.
