The Lady Bruins held in their most of the game, but a late surge allowed the host Panthers to pull away for a 6-0 victory on Tuesday. Eastbrook scored four runs in the 6th inning to break it open. Eastbrook’s big inning was fueled by a home run, 2 singles, and an error.
Saylor Goodspeed and Jaci Rogers each singled for the only hits of the game for the Bruins. Alex Whittig took the loss. She tossed three innings surrendering 2 runs, 2 hits, and struck out 4. Saylor Goodspeed came in to pitch in the 4th inning and finished allowing 4 runs on 3 hits. She struck out one.
“Alex was a little under the weather tonight, so we brought Saylor in to pitch in the 4th inning. We couldn’t get our bats going. We had one opportunity with the bases loaded but couldn’t come up with a timely hit.”, said coach Dick Lyon.
The Lady Bruins (4-10) head to Wapahani tonight for a 5pm contest.
