The boys golf team finished 2nd in a three-way match tonight at Club Run against Eastbrook and Frankton. Eastbrook won the match shooting a 172. Blackford was 2nd firing a 184 and Frankton finished with a 200.
Low medalist tonight for the Bruins was Nate Brown with a 43. Zach Willmann shot a 44. Ethan Huffman fired a 47 and Quenton Thurman a 50. In the final varsity spot Spencer Blakely shot a 52. Coach Dale Cunningham said, “I was pleased with the overall performance tonight especially with Quenton Thurman and Spencer Blakely. They were both asked to step up for the Bruins with Quinn Cunningham out of the line-up running a high fever. I think they both managed their round well and gave it what they had. That is all you can ask of anyone and I was pleased with their efforts.”
The Bruins are now 9-5 on the season and will travel to Wabash on Saturday to play in the Wabash Invitational starting at 8:30 am.
