Multiple Teams · Bruins Host Blackford CC Invite


The Varsity Cross Country teams benefited from beautiful weather and a race on their home course this morning at the Blackford Invitational. The men were led by Andrew Thurman who came in 49th place. Cam Rinker ran a PR time of 20:34 to finish 65th and Jacob Clamme lowered his season best time by 14 seconds to place 80th. Josh Jennings finished right behind in 81st.

Falynne Reed started things off on the right foot for the women running her season best time by 24 seconds and finishing with a medal in 8th place. She was followed by Natalie Thurman who placed 34th and Andrea Gonzalez who shaved two minutes off her previous race time to finish 69th.

Coach Caldwell summarized, “Overall this was a great meet for the Bruins. We ran a new course this year which was a lot of fun for our athletes and we had great fan support. I want to thank all the staff and volunteers who worked to get everything ready for the invitational as well as those who helped during the meet. It was a great morning to race!”
