The Bruin boys soccer team fell to Oak Hill 3-0 last night. Quinten Howard and Spencer Blakely had two shots each. Charlie Cranston recorded 12 saves on the night. Andrew Beckley and Nathan Brown anchored the defense for the full 80 minutes with solid play.
Coach Brad Batman reflected, “Oak Hill had great touches and settles on the ball. Their passing and off the ball movement was some of the best I have seen all season.
“We played a fairly good game. Some of our counter attacks looked dangerous, but we took one too many touches before attempting a shot on goal. The midfield had to work hard all night but maintained great pressure to force turnovers. Oak Hill found ways and passes to exploit our spacing to create shot opportunities.
“Thursday is our last game of the season before sectionals. We will be honoring our seniors for their dedication and hard work to make a name for Blackford Soccer. It should be a great game against Norwell. Let’s send this season off with a great home crowd for this team!”
The JV lost their match as well.
The Bruins (4-6-3) host Norwell next Thursday. The match begins at 5pm.
