Multiple Teams · Varsity CC Runs at New Haven Invite

The varsity cross country teams ran in the New Haven Invitational yesterday morning on the IPFW Cross Country Course at the Plex. Andrew Thurman crossed the finish line first for the men in 38th place.  He was followed by Cam Rinker in 105th, Josh Jennings in 112th and Jacob Clamme in 158th out of 161 racers. Falynne Reed finished with a medal in 12th place and Natalie Thurman placed 67th for the women out of 144 runners. “This was a big meet with a lot a great runners and a chance to run on the Semi-State course.  It was also very hot and followed by an exciting, busy week for many of our runners. We talked about how this was going to be a mental race and I felt the kids internalized that challenge and ran hard, even if we didn’t better our times,” Coach Caldwell explained.
