The boys soccer team battled to a 1-1 with Norwell (2-11-1). Keaton Elkins scored with an assist from Colton McNeal. Charlie Cranston recorded 6 saves. The Bruins finished the regular season 4-6-4.
Coach Brad Batman shared, ‘Norwell did not give up. They played tough and found a way to score against us in the 2nd half. They came out more intense and focused after the half. We failed to match that intensity.
“It was a great last home game of the season. Our senior midfield kept intact and won the transition game for us tonight. I couldn’t be more proud of the way my seniors played tonight in their last home match.
“We have quite a bit of prep to do before our sectional match against Muncie Burris. The team is excited for that game. We are confident it will be a competitive match and will be looking to make some noise in our sectional. Tuesday’s match at New Castle should be some great soccer to watch! Also, the girls team plays at Eastbrook on Tuesday as well. Come out and support the Bruins in the postseason!”
The Bruins open sectional play at 5pm on Tuesday at the New Castle Sectional. The Bruins play Muncie Burris.
