The young Lady Bruins struggled offensively hitting under 10% (3 of 32) of their shots from the field and only under 20% (3 of 16) of their free throws in falling to South Adams (1-1) on Saturday night, 62-9. The girls were shut out in the first quarter for the second consecutive night, falling behind 19-0, and could not recover. Gretchen Messersmith led the 0-4 Lady Bruins with 3 points and 4 rebounds. Sissy Reid and Sophie Winger also contributed 2 points each for the cause.
The JV lost their game 48-33 to fall to 1-3. Avery Kabrich scored 9 points to lead the Lady Bruins. Alexa Hurd and Erin Cagle each added 8.
The Bruins will regroup to host Southern Wells (2-2) on Tuesday. The JV game tips off at 6pm.
