The Lady Bruins swim team competed in the Jay County Sectional and finished 10th.
Coach Christine Geise remarked after Saturday’s finals,”Great job ladies, you all improved so much over this season. Way to end the season on a high note. Coach (Jonathan) Geise and I cannot wait to coach you all again next season. Looking forward to breaking two or more records next swim season as the ladies 200Y Freestyle Relay time was within half a second from breaking the old school swimming record from 2002 as well as the ladies 400Y Freestyle Relay time was within three seconds from breaking the old school swimming record from 1985 along with Natalie Blakely who was had a new PR in the 100Y Butterfly and came within a second and half of breaking the old school Butterfly record held since 2002. Thank you seniors for your hard work and we are going to miss you both. Thanks to the parents and the supporters who helped cheer us on throughout the season and helped run our home events throughout the season.”
There is a lot to look forward to next season. We just need the increase the numbers and both Bruin swim teams could see a record-breaking season next year!
