Girls Varsity Tennis · Lady Bruins Tennis Falls 4-1 to M-G

The Lady Bruins fell to Madison-Grant 4-1 to fall to 0-3 in the CIC and 2-5 overall.  Junior Tori Baker, at 1 singles, evened her record on the season at 4-4 after an almost 3 hour 3 set win. The win also leaves her at 2-1 in the conference. Head Coach Brian Smith shared, “Even though her strokes were off a little much of the night, she showed how much of the game is just plain mental toughness. She kept a positive attitude throughout the match. I’m really proud of her for that.”

Senior Audrey Foster also had some ups and downs in her 2 singles match. She came about as close as it gets, losing 7-5, 6-4.

In JV matches the doubles team of Lydia Thompson/Caitlyn Morgan were able to win at 3 doubles. Coach Smith said, “They continue to improve as the season progresses.”
