The Lady Bruins were over matched by Adams Central on Monday night, losing 5-0. The 2 doubles team of Kayleigh Clevenger and Sierria McPherson were able to give their opponents a very good match, but in the end lost 7-5, 6-3. 1 singles Tori Baker was able to pick up 3 games in her 2 sets. In the other 3 varsity matches, no one was able to get more than 1 game in any of their sets. Coach Brian Smith commented, “On the bright side, I think the total of 15 games Blackford was able to win in the 5 matches was the most that we have won against Adams Central in the 10 years that I have been coaching.”

Kyran Williams led the JV Lady Bruins with 2 wins on the night. She and her doubles partner Jenna Keplinger were able to pick up an 8-1 win. Then Kyran went on to win her 4 singles match 8-5. After losing her opening match at 1 singles, Calista Johns was able to win at 2 singles 8-6. Coach Smith added, “Several of the JV ladies have really been improving as the season goes on.”
