Boys Varsity Baseball · Mealy, Elam Earn 1st Team Honors; Dow Honorable Mention

Three Bruins were honored for their prowess on the baseball field this spring. Junior Shane Elam and Sophomore Caleb Mealy earned 1st Team honors while senior Dayton Dow earned Honorable Mention honors.

“Shane and Caleb each lead us offensively and both played solid defense throughout the season. Both were very deserving of being honored as first teamers by the CIC coaches. Dayton also hit for high average and led the team in doubles. Good to see him get some recognition as well,” Head Coach Tony Uggen said. “We had a few others in Blaine Riddle, Braxton Strait and Drew Caldwell that had decent offensive years but when you finish 7th in the conference, you just don’t get as many kids honored,” Uggen added.

The Bruins finished the season 10-18 overall. They were 1-6 in the CIC.
