Bruins News · Frosh Boys Fall on Late Bucket

The frosh boys trailed the entire game before Bill Harty came off the bench late to hit a basket with 18 seconds left. Unfortunately, Wes-Del got a shot off with several seconds left and a rebound bucket went in with 1.4 seconds to go to give the Warriors a 34-33 victory over the host Bruins. Both teams battled turnovers through out the game. The Bruins got a late fury to make the game interesting leading up to Harty’s basket.

Scott Winger led the Bruins with 13 points. 5 of his points came from the line. Tommy Stiles scored 6 points in limited minutes. Mickey Waters also added 6.

The Bruins are now 1-2 on the season. They host Alexandria in game one of a triple-header with Alexandria on Friday. Tip-off is set for 5pm.
