Bruins News · JH Girls Remain Unbeaten After Wins Over RJB


The 7th grade Lady Bruins came out firing on all cylinders the first half taking a 20-9 led at the half over RJ Baskett. In the third quarter RJB played some tough defense which put them back in the game. RJB took the lead in the fourth but the Lady Bruins never gave up and Sydnee Morris hit a game-winning three with two seconds to go to give the Lady Bruins the win.

The 8th graders come out excited, played tremendous defense and shared the ball well in defeating RJB, 47-23. Blackford led from start to finish. Leading scorers were Olivia Leas with 21 and Cayley Hodges with 10. Olivia Waters added 9 points.

Coach Waters noted the fantastic, positive support of the fans. Well done!

Both teams are now 5-0 overall. The girls host Madison-Grant on Thursday, December 6th at 5:30.
