Current Sport: Basketball

Besides basketball, what other sports or activities are you involved in? I’m involved with soccer, National Honor Society, Key Club, and Spanish Club.

Why do you play basketball in particular? I play because I’ve always had the most fun playing this great game. Sure, soccer was fun, but it’s not basketball.
Other than winning and losing, what other things do you hope to take away from your experiences playing sports? I hope that when it’s all said and done, I’m more mature and know how to handle situations appropriately. Also, I hope that my social skills and relationships will be better than they currently are.

What words would you share for those kids who aren’t playing a sport right now or are considering doing so? You have to do it, I promise you’ll regret it if you don’t. You’ll make so many lifelong friends thanks to playing sports, even if you don’t really know the kids on the team.

What does it mean to you to be a Bruin? My mom was a former Bruin, so I’m always proud that I’m able to be something that she and so many great athletes are called.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not playing sports (hobbies, interests, etc.)? I like to fidget with my Rubik’s Cube or play games on my Xbox.

What has been your favorite moment in sports during your career at BHS so far? Catching the ball that won the sectional championship for baseball.

Are you involved in any leadership roles or activities at BHS? National Honor Society.

Was there any former Bruin that you admired or looked up to? If so, who was it and why did you admire or look up to them? There’s so many, Tricia Beckley obviously since she’s my mom. Then there’s Mark Vanderbur and Shane Beckley because they were both on the football team that won a state championship and that’s always been a goal of mine.
