Bruins News · Golfers Defeat Bluffton & Marion

The Blackford Boys Golf team traveled to Bluffton tonight to open their season against Bluffton and Marion in a triangular match. The Bruins won the match to start their season 2-0.
The Bruins shot a team score of 185 with Bluffton one stroke back with a 186 and Marion recording a 240.

Leading the way for the Bruins was Lance Manley shooting a 43 followed by Tyler Brown with 44, Bryce Strait a 48, Nate Brown a 50 and Damien Shields with 52.

Coach Dale Cunninghman said, “I was impressed the with boys tonight, they held it together in cold and windy conditions. This is a very young team and they showed good determination tonight avoiding big scores and minimizing mistakes.”

The Bruins next match will be a home match on Friday (today) at Club Run against Madison-Grant starting at 4:30pm.
