Bruins News · Slow Start Cost Lady Bruins; Fall to Eastern

The Lady Bruins fell behind early and couldn’t make up the difference in losing to Eastern 6-3. Eastern scored two in the first and two in the second on our Blackford errors.

Coach Scott Cagle shared, “It seems like we don’t make plays or hit the until fifth inning on. That’s hard to win ball games when you only play three innings instead of seven, but the girls are battling and not giving up and, for that, I’m very proud of them.

Lauriah Lytle, Alexa Hurd, Makenzie Hundley, Kiley Eppard, Reaghan Harding, Grace Simmons all had hits.

The Lady Bruins (2-4) will travel to Maconaquah for a double header on Saturday. Game one begins at 11am.
