Bruins News · Shorthanded Bruin Wrestlers 0-5 at Wabash County Invite

The varsity wrestling team finished 0-5 today at the Wabash County Invitational to fall to 0-12 on the season. Unfortunately, the Bruins were short a couple of their wrestlers, and another got sick during the meet. Evan Watt went 5-0 and was the individual title at 132! Ethan Watt (160) and Isaac Justice (152) each finished second at 4-1 in their respective classes.

The Bruins are giving their all and making improvements, but they are still giving up 24-30 points a match due to not being able to put a wrestler on the mat at 106, 113, 126, 195 and 220. If the Bruins had wrestlers to fill those positions, the Bruins could possibly be 6-6 based on Coach Garringer’s best guess. Hopefully, the Bruins can fill those spots next year (or soon!). Regardless, great effort by the Bruins who are wrestling. They are representing us well with their efforts!
