Bruins News · JH Girls Defeat Wes-Del; 8th Graders Improve to 9-0


The 7th grade Lady Bruins defeated Wes-Del last night 29-26 to improve to 4-4 on the season. The girls lead 4-3 after one. A big second quarter pushed the lead to 18-8 at the half. The Lady Warriors fought back to within two after three. The Bruins hung on to win by three.

Coach Amy Sargent said, “I was happy with the way the girls came out and played tonight. I could tell they all wanted to play. It’s good to get back on the winning side and the girls getting their confidence back. We are right where I thought we would be and improving every day.”

Jaelyn Morris led the Lady Bruins with 22. Emily Ellison scored 4 points. Adrianna Hall and Maleah Limle scored 2 points and 1 point respectively.

Several girls got some floor time in the 8th grade game as the Lady Bruins improved to 9-0 after a 55-7 victory. The Bruins jumped out to a 27-2 lead after one. They extended it to 37-2 at the half before playing a lot of kids in the second half. Every player scored for the Bruins.
