Baseball limited contact practice will finally begin next week. They are ran like any other in-season practice. The only stipulation is that each player may only attend twice a week for 2 hours. We are currently only going to offer 2 sessions for 2 hours each, but if numbers are high, we will add a third day to spread kids out for social distancing.
All practices will take played on Mondays and Wednesday in January. Those dates are Jan 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, and 27. All practices will take place from 5:20-7:30pm.
Practices are open to high school and junior high baseball players. Come already dressed for practice as there will be no locker rooms available to change in. The first ten minutes will be used to get ready to set up practice.
A reminder that you must have all “paperwork” completed in Final Forms and a copy of pages 3 & 5 of the physical on file in the BHS Athletic Office prior to participation. If you had a physical on file during the ’19-20 school year, you may complete a Health Questionnaire and if you answer ‘no’ to all questions on that form, you may use your ’19-20 physical form this year as well. If you answer ‘yes’ to any questions, you will have to get a new physical. The Health Questionnaire must be completed in full, signed and turned in as well.
The good news is that most already in Final Forms are showing green (meaning they are ready to start).
JH kids who use a smaller bat should bring that bat with them.
An email was sent to all players and parents already signed up for HS or JH baseball in Final Forms. So please look for that email and others sent by Coach Uggen. If you are getting those, and your athlete has chose not to play, please let Coach know.
Finally, we could use a few more HS kids to play! Graduation hit us hard last year. If you have some baseball skills and are willing to work hard for a position, now is your chance! Come join us!
If you have any questions, please contact Coach Uggen at email@example.com. You may also call him from 7am-2pm most days at 765-348-7567, x 2011.
