Each summer the IHSAA sets aside the week that includes July 4 as the summer moratorium week. During that week, no team may have any practices or contact. Last year, the CIC added a moratorium week to give kids and families more time to spend together.
This summer, after surveying the coaching staff and taking into account that July 4th falls on a Sunday, we are setting our moratorium for Sunday, June 20 through Sunday, July 4. By putting the two weeks back-to-back, this will allow families who are able to take a longer vacation and/or at last travel (fly) midweek which is much cheaper than flying on the weekends.
Let’s now hope Covid becomes less an issue heading into summer and allowing us to get some much needed time out and about with family and friends!!
