Bruins News · Rough Couple Nights for Shorthanded 8th Grade Boys

It was a tough couple nights for the Bruins played without nearly half their team due to Covid tracing. Even then, the Bruins still competed. Coach Kyle Pitts said, “We were able to get some kids more action then normal and they stepped up. Unfortunately, the other teams we played were quite a bit bigger and made it difficult for us on the inside with scoring and rebounding.”

The Bruins fell to Monroe Central 40-18 on Monday. Gage Baker scored 12 points to lead the Bruins. Adding 2 points apiece were Riley Spaulding, Kentral Toomer and Max Bonewit.

The Bruins lost last night to Madison-Grant, 64-33. Gage Baker again had a great night scoring 28 points. Riley Spaulding scored 3 points. Kentral Toomer added 2.

With the losses, the Bruins are now 5-5 on the season.
