Bruins Advance 7 to Regional

The cross country teams traveled to IWU to compete in the Marion Sectional. The boys finished 9th of 11 teams. Heading to Regional next Saturday….Andrew Thurman (23rd), Brady Swartz (25th), Justin Call (37th). The girls finished 6th of 8 teams. Heading to Regional next Saturday….Falynne Reed (12th), Jamie Twibell (21st), Bailey Cline (28th), and Ashley Thurman (34th).

Volleyball Falls to OH

The varsity volleyball team dropped to 0-25 after a 14-25, 26-28, 22-25 loss to Oak Hill. Peyton Hiestand racked up 20 assists, 4 digs, 2 kills and 3 blocks to lead the Lady Bruins. Victoria Bauer added 5 digs, 9 kills, and 4 blocks and Gracie Minner added 6 kills, 2 blocks, and 2 assists.

Bruin Volleyball Falls to Eastbrook

The varsity and JV volleyball teams fell to Eastbrook this evening. The varsity lost 21-25, 16-25, 7-25 to fall to 0-24 overall. Payton Hiestand recorded 10 assists, 4 digs and an ace.Victoria picked up 7 digs, 3 blocks, 2 digs, and an assist. Tori Baker added 3 kills, 2 digs, a block and an ace.

Lady Bruin Soccer Wins Sectional Opener

The Lady Bruin soccer team defeat Maconaquah 8-1 to advance to the sectional semi-final on Thursday at 7pm. The Bruins out shot their opponents 19-1. JV Football Falls to Alex

The JV football team dropped their game with Alex, 42-6. Dylan Shroyer scored the only touchdown while rushing for 48 yards. Shane Elam caught 3 passes for 48 yards to lead the offense. JROTC Raider Team Finishes 3rd

The Blackford JROTC Raider team had a great weekend in Kentucky. They competed against 30 other teams from 4 states and came home with 4 trophies. The Bruins hosted the CIC Cross Country Championships and had a great morning despite the cold and rain. The girls finished 2nd and the boys finished 4th!
