Student Council sponsor Denise Rogers has a busy week scheduled for Homecoming ’15 to get everyone fired up for the Homecoming game on Friday, September 11 vs Mississinewa. VB Falls to Alex

Lady Bruin volleyball falls to 0-9 after coming up short to Alexandria, 18-25, 21-25, 12-25. Hannah Reid had 6 digs and 3 kills. Gracie Minner added 5 digs and 3 kills. They head to Wes-Del on Saturday for an invitational that starts at 9am.

JV Volleyball Falls to Alex

The JV volleyball team fell to Alexandria, 16-25, 12-25. Sara Gregory had 4 digs and Arianna South had 2 assists to lead the Bruins. They drop to 0-5 on the season and host Delta on Thursday, September 10.

Boys Tennis Postponed; No Practice

The V/JV Boys Tennis Match with South Adams has been postponed. No make up date has been set. There will be no tennis practice this evening.

JV FB Falls to JC

The Blackford JV football team lost to Jay County 30-12. The Bruins scored in the first quarter on a touchdown run by Austin Lancaster and in the 4th quarter on touchdown pass from Dayton Dow to Shane Elam. The defense was led by Melvin Hernandez and Tyler Cagle. The Bruins return to action next Monday

Bruin FB Falls to JC

The varsity football team fell to Jay County 46-21 Friday night to drop to 0-2. Chase Mahan scored two TDs and Colin Jones added the 3rd. Jacob Confer added the extra points. The HS and JH Cross Country Teams took part in the Celina Rotary Invitational yesterday at Wright State University. The girls cross country team placed 6th out of 8 in the White Division.
