Saturday the Blackford Lady Bruins hosted the Blackford Invitational softball tournament. In the first game of the day Blackford faced off against the Union County Patriots. Baseball Loses 2 to Luers

The varsity baseball team dropped two close games to Luers (13-7) by scores of 8-7 and 6-3 to drop to 4-20 on the season. The Bruins trailed 8-2 but battled back to 8-7 heading to the 7th.  The Bruins loaded the bases with 2 outs before Devin Tarr flied to left to end the game.

The Bruin track team competed at the CIC Championships last night at IWU. Lady Bruins Defeat Wes-Del

A seven run outburst over the first three innings helped the Lady Bruins past Wes-Del 12-2 on Thursday night. RBI doubles by Darci Robertson, Tori Eppard, and Addisyn Schick in the first inning supplied the early offense for Blackford. Tennis Drops Match to South Adams

Some more close matches as South Adams was able to pull out a win over Blackford 5-0. Lone Senior Rachel Shade started off well in both of her sets, but couldn’t keep it going in her 1 singles loss. Sara Gregory had the closet match of the night losing 12-10 in a 3rd set tie-breaker.

Bruins Fall 16-6

The varsity baseball team dropped to 4-18 after a 16-6 loss to Eastbrook. Devin Tarr took the loss allowing 7 earned runs over 2.1 innings. Zach Tarr, Austin Langdon, and Brandon Barkdull worked the final 2 innings allow 8 earned runs. Bruin pitchers allowed 10 walks, 12 hits, and hit a batter in the loss.

Wapahani Golf Match Moved

The boys golf match at Wapahani has been moved to Wednesday, May 27 due to conflict on their course on June 2.  Please plan accordingly.
