Bruin CC Runs Well at Regional; Cami Caldwell Advances to Semi-State

Three Bruin boys and the Ladies Cross Country team relished the opportunity to run at the Marion Regional on Saturday morning at IWU. Bellmont  the boy’s title, while fellow CIC school Oak Hill advanced to Semi-state with a third place finish. Noah Kitterman was the fastest Bruin on Saturday. He wrapped up his sophomore season with an awesome race and finished with a PR of 17:34. Senior Brayden Roberts also ran a  PR, ending his high school XC career with a time of 17:43. Teammate Drew Caldwell concluded his season at Regional this morning, as well.    In the girls’s race, Norwell edged out Oak Hill by one point to take home the team trophy. The Lady Bruins finished 9th  in the 10 team field. It was their first trip to Regional as a team in several years. Cami Caldwell led the ladies. She was the lone Bruin to advance to Semi-State and the highest placing freshman, finishing 22nd overall. Finishing second for the lady Bruins, Senior Natalie Thurman ran her last cross country race with her second fastest time of the season. Completing the team scoring were all underclassman: Sami Wiiliamson, Ruby Slentz and Alli Jacobs.i Jacobs. Also competing for the team,in their first year running cross-country were Natalie Blakely and Kylee Darnell. After missing a couple races due to fall break, Blakely, a senior, PR’d in her final race as a Bruin with a time of 27:12.    “Today was a great morning for Bruin Cross Country. Congratulations and good luck to Cami who earned a spot at Semi-State. The Bruin football team dropped their Senior Night contest to 4A, #9 Mississinewa (8-1) 38-13. Senior Night Plan for Friday Night

7th Boys Basketball to Begin Boomer Practices on Wednesday

JH Football Falls to Eastbrook

The JH football team played Eastbrook last night and was defeated 36-0 .The Bruins would give up a touchdown early but the Bruins defense would hold Eastbrook to 15 points in the first half.
