The JV Lady Bruins survived in the 1st game of the Holiday Tournament vs. Barr Reeve on a Sydnee Morris offenseive rebound put back improving to 10-0.

The Lady Bruins set the tone early in the 1st quarter jumping out to a 12-6 lead with Chloe Wicker leading with 5 points.

The 2nd quarter had the Lady Vikings settling down winning the quarter 10-7. Cassandra Mounsey led the quarter with 3 points after hitting a big 3. The Lady Bruins went into halftime with a 3 point lead.

The 3rd quarter the offense was able to come out with their pressure defense leading to a couple of steals which helped put up 13 points led Chloe Wicker and Faith Gephart with 4 points apiece. The Lady Bruins took a 7 point lead heading into the 4th quarter.

The 4th quarter saw the Lady Vikings bring the pressure and was able to tie with about 8 seconds to go. The Lady Bruins controlled the ball and with 3-4 seconds Chloe Wicker’s 3 point attempt was tipped but Sydnee Morris came away with the offensive rebound and put back as time expired securing the 2 point victory.

The Bruins play in the JV championship vs. the winner of Blue River and Waldron at 4:30.
