The Blackford Lady Bruins really struggled tonight. The were down 27-0 after the first quarter and couldn’t seem to get anything going offensively or defensively in the 77-17 loss.

Coach Mitch Waters said, “I haven’t seen us play like that all season. I am not sure what exactly went on tonight. We couldn’t get it going on either end of the floor. Girls were dropping passes without any type of pressure, we weren’t attacking, and defensively we gave up a season high 77 and a school record by Shelby Caldwell with 42. I think it was a perfect storm, break started today, we had to move the game from Blackford to Jay County, our girls all had finals all week, plus games and practice. I think that our girls were just mentally checked out and we couldn’t find a way to compete.”

Jaycie Sones had a solid game with 10 points and a couple rebounds.

Blackford falls to 1-14 on the season and will play Muncie Central 12/29.
