It was a nice showing for Senior day for the Lady Bruins! The band was going and everyone was hyped. The Lady Bruins for the first time all season started all 5 seniors on the floor! The Lady Bruins fought hard early, but just couldn’t find enough baskets to really make it difficult for Eastbrook.

Coach Waters said, “These seniors showed so much effort tonight that they had me smiling ear to ear the entire game! Even though the outcome doesn’t look the best, these seniors left it all on the floor and made me proud! Hailey Morris, Gretchen Messersmith, and Makayla Harrold all really had to step up and play positions that they were not really comfortable with. However, they all did a fantastic job doing it today! It is a shame that all 5 of the seniors got hurt in such serious fashion, because they really could have helped us more than what they did. I can not tell you enough how proud I am to have coached this group of seniors. They worked hard all year, became great leaders, and never gave me any attitudes or grief. I am going to miss these girls more than they know. You can only have one first class of seniors and I wouldn’t trade them for anyone. The previous last couple games were rough for us, because I didn’t feel like we had the intensity to compete. Today was 32 minutes of 100% effort.

Player of the game
Hailey Morris, Gretchen Messersmith, Makayla Harrold, Grace Marshall, and Sophie Winger!

Next game is Sectional at New Castle, versus New Castle Wednesday @ 6pm.

Seniors, thank you again for such great leadership! You will be missed dearly!
