Bruin Tennis Falls to South Adams

South Adams, coming in at 11-2, defeated the Bruin tennis team 0-5 in a varsity only make-up contest.  #2 Singles player Quinn Blakely returned to play and played a competitive game, but #1 doubles player Kerigan Reynard was still absent from the lineup which hampered the overall performance of the team. The varsity tennis team, missing two of their top three players, fell to an experienced Alexandria team 0-5. Coach Quick commented that, “several of the Bruins played in new positions and, though gaining valuable experience, showed some tactical inexperience.” The JV dropped their match 0-8. Tennis Gets 1st Win

The Bruin boy’s tennis team fell to Madison-Grant 0-5 before bouncing back to beat FW Northrop 3-2 for their first win of the season.  The Bruin then lost their 3rd match 0-5 to Carroll who hosted the Invite. Tennis Nipped by Jay Co

In a 2-3 loss against Jay County, the Bruins played their best game of the season.  Scott Thompson, playing a 2 ½ hour exhaustive game lost the first set by a tiebreaker (6-6 tie) 5-7 but rebounded to win the second set 6-3 and the final set by another tiebreaker (6-6) by 7-3 to win his match.  In

The Bruin tennis team fell to Ole Miss last night, 0-5. According to Coach Quick, “Both doubles teams played very competitively, improving in the second set to make the matches close.  All players showed improving service skills and ground strokes.” The Bruins return to action next Tuesday as they host Madison-Grant at 5pm.
